The Surgery also provides management of care to those patients who suffer from a chronic disease, in consultation with the patient. This will also include:

- CKD
- CHD
Contraception
Full contraceptive services are available which include advice about emergency contraception, however emergency contraception is also available at your local Pharmacy.
Coil insertions
We are unable to offer coil insertions at this practice at the moment. We are currently referring patients to Birchington Medical Centre

Travel Vaccinations
If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to make an appointment with the practice nurse to discuss your travel arrangements. This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required. Please complete the form below, bring it in to the Surgery and make an appointment.

Smoking
If you would like help to stop smoking please let our Receptionist, Nurse or GP know. Information will be provided on current support services available in your area.
Spirometry
At the moment we are not able to perform Spirometry at the surgery this is due to the limitations with our premises and infection control measures. Safety is paramount to both our patients and staff, We are in the process of updating staff training and as soon as we are able to offer the service we will do so. In the mean time we are looking at alternative support which is very limited
Asthma
Review and monitoring is offered to those patients who suffer from asthma. The Nursing team supports patients with the management of their condition.
COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease)
The practice provides support to patients who suffer respiratory problems such as chronic bronchitis and emphysema. The support given provides patients with regular review of their condition, measurement of respiratory flow, smoking advice and assessment of treatment.
Diabetes
Review and monitoring is offered for those patients who suffer from diabetes, both insulin and non-insulin dependent. The clinical team supports patients in the management of their condition together with advice on lifestyle, diet, weight and glucose monitoring.
Hypertension and CHD (Coronary Heart Disease)
Support is provided to those patients who suffer with high blood pressure and heart problems. The clinics provide support to patients in the management of their conditions, regular monitoring and testing, advice, diet and healthy lifestyle.
Leg Ulcer
Our practice nurse supports those patients who are able to attend the surgery with advice, support and dressings.
Baby Vaccinations and Immunisations
Valuable inoculation against disease to babies and children are given to children under the age of five.
NHS Health Checks Clinics
These checks are by appointment only and if you are eligible the Practice will contact you via a letter.
Essential Services
The practice provides management of care to all our patients who are ill or believe themselves to be ill, with conditions from which recovery is generally expected, for the duration of that condition, including relevant health promotion advice and referral as appropriate, reflecting patient choice wherever practicable.
